Imagine world class ballet training at the beach! At The Perla Ballet Summer Intensive, dancers can pursue their dreams while enjoying coastal life in beautiful St. Augustine, FL.
At The Perla Ballet’s Summer Dance Intensive, dancers receive daily instruction from a world class faculty of renowned instructors whose combined expertise will challenge and develop each dancer’s classical ballet technique and artistic agility. Dance training at TPBS is designed to prepare dancers for a future in professional dance, while developing thoughtful, fearless, fluent, artistic dancers.
The Perla Ballet’s Summer Dance Intensive provides an opportunity for serious intermediate and advanced pre-professional ballet dancers to receive high quality, classical training with the personal attention necessary to yield real improvement in dance technique. With a diverse class schedule, including a variety of dance forms, each student is challenged to meet and exceed their personal dance goals.
Training at The Perla Ballet Summer Intensive includes training that truly prepares dancers for the expectations of professional dance companies from a faculty who understands what is needed to take your dancing to the next level.

Preston Miller – Founder and artistic director of United Artists Initiative and renowned choreographer for countless dance companies, including Alvin Ailey and the New York City Ballet. Mr. Miller blends elements of classical ballet, contemporary dance, and modern movements into his fresh, inventive choreography.
Lori Ladwig – ABT® Certified Teacher with over 30 years of experience as an instructor, choreographer and artistic director for numerous training programs and youth companies. Ms. Ladwig’s students have found success in pre-professional and professional dance companies around the United States.
Meghan Chapman – Co-founder of The Perla Ballet School, Mrs. Chapman is a professional dancer and choreographer. Her works include short and full- length ballets, as she shares her passion and knowledge of dance and company life with young dancers in Northeast Florida.
Jonathan Chapman – Co-founder of The Perla Ballet School, Mr. Chapman is a professional dancer and choreographer. He has worked as a guest artist with professional companies around the United States, but finds the greatest fulfillment in working to nurture and grow young dancers.
THE CITY – Located in the Nation’s Oldest City, The Perla Ballet finds its home near some of the best attractions in the area. Full of rich multi-cultural history, St. Augustine showcases historic sites such as the Castillo de San Marcos, the Colonial Quarter, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, and countless other museums, shops and restaurants along St. George Street and the Bayfront. Boredom is not an option, with miles of beautiful beaches, state parks, brick-lined streets, horse-drawn carriages, and beautiful European-style architecture to explore.

THE STUDIO – The Perla Ballet makes its home at St. Augustine Dance Conservatory studios. Each studio is equipped with sprung floor and professional-grade Marley dance surface. The studio is 3 miles south of the intersection of US-1 and SR 312. Just 6 miles from I-95 via Exit 311 (Exit for SR 207).
